We are delighted to inform you that India has now been elevated to Assessment Level 2 (AL2), according to the SSVF (Simplified Australian Student Visas Framework)
The DIBP (Department of Immigration and Border Protection) has divided all countries and the institutions & universities in Australia in Assessment Levels 1, 2 and 3 depending on their risk assessment, where AL1 denotes lowest risk, AL 2 denotes moderate risk and AL 3 denotes highest risk. India’s elevation to AL 2, from its previous position of AL3 is a welcome change which will result in higher visa success rate and lesser processing time for visa applications for students applying from India.
We are in talks with the Australian universities to gather more information on how this is going to affect the documentary requirement at the stage of GTE assessment by the universities and will share an update soon.
With Australian government poised to recruit hundreds of thousands of students from emerging markets, especially India by the year 2025, recruitment of students in Australian universities is a good, long term strategy for sustainability. We would like to encourage you all to take maximum benefit of this opportunity and we will be happy to provide all assistance that you may need in this venture.
